The organization celebrated its 4 billionth meal at the United Nations last year and has since reached the remarkable milestone of 5 billion meals served. It continues to scale internationally with feeding initiatives in the UK, a growing presence in Canada and Singapore, and collaborations across Africa, while also extending humanitarian relief to Ukrainian refugees and communities impacted by natural disasters in Nepal and Bangladesh. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Akshaya Patra launched a tech-enabled emergency response, delivering over 200 million meals to vulnerable populations, including migrant and frontline workers.
