Amit is a seasoned investor specializing in systematic global macro and early-stage investments. As Managing Partner at SamVed, he invests in technology-driven startups addressing large scale economic challenges, guiding founders on strategy, product-market fit, and scaling. Samved’s mission centers on backing entrepreneurs who are closing the productivity gap for the Middle and Aspirer population in India — approximately 900 million individuals beyond the top 100 million in terms of income.

Previously, Amit spent 25+ years at Bridgewater Associates, where he led teams developing systematic investment strategies for global equities used in Bridgewater’s Pure Alpha product. He also authored several Bridgewater Daily Observations, widely read by global policymakers and senior investors.

Amit holds a BS in Engineering from IIT Kanpur and a MS from the University of Pennsylvania.
